Kiva invited as guest with European Overtone Choir, July /08

In July /08, Kiva was invited as a special guest for the intensive week-long rehearsal of the European Overtone Choir. It is directed by Stefan Schreyer and Wolfgang Saus of Aachen, Germany. Stefan is an award winning conductor/ music professor, and Wolfgang is a highly respected teacher of overtone singing. Together, they create a choir sound with non-esoteric, contemporary experimental pieces, finely tuning the blend of voices into the realm of harmonics. Several of the members are accomplished overtone singers, adding overtone solos to these fascinating works. Kiva joined in with the tenor section, with several overtone solo parts.

At the end of this week, the choir performed for a sold-out audience in the historical church of Nove Hrady, Czech Republic. Kiva also sang a solo here with her song 'Regret'.
