Kiva performs RESPECT World and Ethnic Music Festival, solo and with Tanya Tagaq, Prague, June /08

In late June /08 at the RESPECT World and Ethnic Music Festival in Prague, Kiva performed solo and as a guest improvisational vocalist with Tanya Tagaq (Inuit throat singer from Canada). Tanya is a highly renowned contemporary avant garde performer of this technique. She has worked with the likes of Bjork and the Kronos Quartet. Tanya and Kiva have collaborated this way several times in the past, including the Winnipeg and Vancouver Folk Festivals.

As soloist, Kiva performed with keyboards and the computer program Ableton Live, in which she loops vocal parts.
